Adolescent and Young Adult Health Advocate, NSW
Mae is a proud and passionate advocate for the health and wellbeing of adolescent and young adults with chronic and complex medical conditions. Mae began to advocate for the health and wellbeing of young people in 2004 as a high school student with her own chronic health condition.
She is a currently a member of the NSW Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) Consumer Advisory Council, co-chair of the ACI Transition Care Network and member on the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) Consumer and Community Council. Mae is a former chair of the Children’s Hospital at Westmead Youth Advisory Committee and mentor with ChIPS, the Chronic Illness Peer Support Program.
She is currently employed by the ACI as a Transition Support Worker helping young people transition from Paediatric Health Service to Adult Health Service.
Mae joined the AWCH Board in 2016.
