Biography
Clare has been a paediatric nurse for over 35 years, both in Australia and the UK. She has extensive experience of working with children and their families and a deep understanding of the challenges that they face in hospital and health care. Clare is a passionate advocate for the rights of children and young people and has developed expertise in using research methodologies that are inclusive of children and young people’s voices.
Clare has dedicated her career to caring for, and researching with, sick children and their families with the intent purpose of advancing their wellbeing whilst in hospital and receiving health care. Clare’s research focuses on investigating the implementation of the United Nations Convention of the Rights of Children in health care, specifically children’s right to have a voice, which aligns directly with the vision and purpose of AWCH.
